How Valor Works: iRacing Telemetry to Race Engineering

Valor turns live iRacing telemetry, session state, driver baselines and race context into useful coaching, racecraft and strategy. The deterministic Valor Pro system does the core engineering work, with Valor AI available as an optional reasoning layer.

1. Telemetry In

Valor reads iRacing telemetry, lap timing, driver inputs and session state in real time, including braking, throttle, steering, speed and lap position.

2. Race State

Valor builds live context around position, gaps, traffic, fuel, stint state and the changing race so calls are grounded in what is actually happening.

3. Baseline Comparison

Your lap is compared with a valid reference so Valor can separate meaningful lap-time differences from data that only looks different.

4. Root-Cause Engine

Valor traces a visible time loss upstream to the first meaningful driving mistake, connecting cause, symptom, lap-time loss and the next-lap target.

5. Racecraft Model

Nearby cars, closing rates, traffic trains, pressure and position become battle context that helps the driver understand what is changing around the car.

Fuel, pit windows, position and threats are monitored so strategy calls happen when the plan materially changes rather than repeating information every lap.

The system turns telemetry and context into short, actionable coaching priorities timed for the driver instead of overwhelming the radio with raw data.
